Sinn Féin is a democratic, progressive, left wing political party committed to the creation of a united Ireland of Equals.
In the constituency of Newry and Armagh Sinn Féin remains the largest political party since taking the MP seat in 2005. In addition Sinn Féin in Newry and Armagh currently has three MLAs in the Assembly, thirteen councillors on Newry & Mourne District Council and six councillors on Armagh City & District Council.
Sinn Féin in this area is a thriving, grass roots organisation with hundreds of members. Our members are involved in numerous local campaigns which are designed to highlight important local issues and to develop the party.
Sinn Féin is entering an exciting cycle which will see elections taking place in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The coming years also present many milestone centenaries including the formation of the Irish Volunteers, the foundation of Cumann na mBán and the 1916 Easter Rising. These elections and centenaries will provide many opportunities for the spirit of republicanism to flourish.
